The Team

MedicoLens is a team of award winning producers who specialize in medical media. We use video, illustration, animation, photography, and any other communications medium/format that will connect our client's message to their audience. Our goal at MedicoLens is to produce useful medical media and do right by our clients. Thus, the quality of our work is exemplary, our clients own their content (i.e., no additional fees for raw media or transfer of copyrights), all projects are confidential until released by our clients, and our fees are very competitive. Our clients include small medical/dental practices, law offices, regional medical centers, and major medical device manufacturers.

David Bolnick, Ph.D. (Medical Media Director/Producer)
Dr. Bolnick is an amalgam of scholar, scientist, technology design guru, video & graphics producer and photographer. Bolnick's contributions have been recognized by numerous achievement awards including Vice President Gore's Hammer Award, Easter Seals' Special EDI Award, United Nations Outstanding Achievement Award, Telly Awards, several software patents, and many others. From 1973, Bolnick's early research interest was in coronary artery flow dynamics followed by vision physiology. In 1984 he completed his PhD in physiology with a focus on photoreceptor physiology at the University of California - Davis. From 1984 to 1988 Dr. Bolnick undertook post-doctoral studies in photoreceptor membrane bio-physics at the University of California - San Francisco. Bolnick switched from basic research to computers/software and in 1990 took a position at Microsoft for the following ten years. There he designed software, help redesigned software for use by people with disabilities, served on federal committees on accessible technology compliance, and testified before the US Senate, the US House of Representatives and the Federal Communications Commission on accessible technology for people with disabilities. In 2018, Bolnick was awarded his latest patent in software interface design. In 2012, he co-edited/authored a medical textbook, Surgical Guide to Circumcision. Dr. Bolnick is an affiliate Assistant Professor in the department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Washington and Visiting Scholar at Seattle Children's Hospital.

Moti Krauthamer (Video Director/Producer)
Mr. Krauthamer is an Emmy Award-winning television producer/director with a reputation of delivering a message with clarity and power. Krauthamer directed the award-winning documentary "Enable - People with Disabilities and Computers." Nearly 100,000 copies of this documentary were distributed worldwide. Enable has received nine national awards, including two Telly Awards. Krauthamer's many awards for his video work include an Emmy, five Emmy nominations, Excellence in Journalism from the Society of Professional Journalists, Associated Press award in the category of Enterprise, and The Governor Of California's Media Access Award. As a video editor in the Jerusalem bureaus, Krauthamer has worked for the major news networks of many countries including Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, Lebanon, Israel, Denmark, Norway, Australia, and the United States. He also produced international award-winning television programming for CNN. Moti Krauthamer earned a BFA with a concentration in television and film making from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, 1984.
